I work with forward-thinking organisations to create effective websites that are fast, inclusive and low-carbon by default.
About
After I built my first website in the ’90s as a creative outlet and a way to explore my curiosity with the technology, I soon realised I’d stumbled into a career I hadn’t planned but absolutely love.
Two decades on, I’ve been designing and building things on the web with a variety of organisations from agencies and startups to well-known brands and charities.
Recently my focus has shifted towards aiming to make a positive impact. Climate change is our most pressing challenge, and I believe creatives have a duty to be part of the solution.

What I do
I primarily work as a creative front-end developer, crafting beautiful, functional user interfaces. Throughout my career, I've gained diverse skills in development, design, and product management.
My approach is flexible, delivering the kind of full service you'd typically associate with a larger agency, but with the personalised attention you get from a smaller team.
I work either as a solo freelancer, integrating with your existing team, or I often team up with other freelancers to offer you a full package.
I also run a low-carbon focused design and development studio called Tempest, where we collaborate with purpose-driven businesses to create effective websites, brands, and apps.
